This workshop is designed for educators and other individuals who value the learning process. Using Focus Education’s Four Worlds and the Information Processing Models, you’ll enjoy learning about how the brain learns best in classrooms. DEVELOPING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Designed for educators and those wishing to increase their understanding of the power of emotions. The ‘Emotional Rooms’ model provides a conceptual framework to assist teachers and their students in maximizing student engagement in classrooms. It explains how to create classrooms that are inspirational to students; to live their lives with hope; to value community service; to contribute to self and family; to plan with an optimistic future in mind.

 

MIND YOUR BRAIN

Designed for students to become a more efficient learner. This workshop is an action-packed exploration of how the brain learns, crammed with strategies to help you understand your brain and how to make it work smarter for you. Over 150 000 students have participated in this amazing workshop. You’ll watch computer-generated images produced by Focus Education; build models; engage in higher order thinking activities and learn key learning and thinking processes. This is one of the most memorable days any student will ever have in a workshop activity.

 

PARENTING WITH THE BRAIN IN MIND

This workshop is designed for parents to achieve three main aims;

  • Provide parents with an understanding of what the school is seeking to achieve with their children.
  • Give practical strategies for supporting children’s academic learning and emotional development at home
  • Describe the conditions necessary to raise great families.

 

NEUROSPORT: DEVELOPING ELITE MINDS

This workshop is designed for athletes who wish to understand how the brain impacts on athletic performance. The elements of elite minds are examined along with the pressures of professional sport.

Participates will have the opportunity to work with the Learning & Career Profiling System to explore life after sport.
